Pain

I take one last breath
As I lay to rest
For a day, a month, a year, the rest of my damn life
My life's gone and past
I don't know the rest
I just know it's not the same without you here with me

Pain Pain leave me be
I'm all alone or can't you see
All the joy is drained from my life

All my tears are shed
Could this be the end
Of all the things that I had left to keep me staying here
I guess this is goodbye
You've cut all the ties
My tears are dried but the pain stays and it's haunting me

Pain Pain leave me be
I'm all alone or can't you see
All the joy is drained from my life

I lie here missing you, for you my feelings always true
I lie here missing you for now
I lie here missing you, for you my feelings always true
I lie here missing you for now

Pain Pain leave me be
I'm all alone or can't you see
All the joy is drained from my life
All the joy is drained from my life
All the joy is drained from my life

So for those unfamiliar with the syllable pattern I wrote a parody of Rain by Breaking Benjamin. I'd record me singing it to the instrumental, but I've been told I'm a bad singer. And yes, I realize I took a couple of things from the actual lyrics. I did have one thing for the chorus "Pain Pain go away
Leave me here to lose my way. There is nothing left to give me joy," but I changed it out for something better fitting to my sorrow and to the emotion I put in to writing the parody lyrics. The reason I chose to parodize this song is because you can just hear the pain in the singer's voice when you listen to the song. It sounds like he's trying not to cry throughout the song. I couldn't find the instrumental, so here's the lyric video. And for those that can't tell, I'm pretty sure his use of the word "Rain" and allusion to the little kids song Rain Rain Go Away is him telling himself to stop crying.
